Speaking at the ceremony, Sisi said he would keep working "until my last day in power." He rejected talk of a role in governing Egypt for his family or relatives, saying such claims are inappropriate, and responded to critics that no one should claim he is preparing a family member or relative to run the country.1235

Sisi said no one who is a show-off, a traitor, a criminal, or unqualified would take over the administration of the country. He also said preserving the national state and its stability requires strong institutions.67

Sisi thanked Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait for backing Egypt in 2013, saying petroleum and wheat ships were arriving "without account." A deputy director of the Military Academy said the Technological Military College works to qualify military cadres able to handle the latest technologies.1238
